This is yet another complaint staying unsolved by airtel customer care. Their service is getting worse every passing day, and i m having no words to describe it! As soon as we got the connection (17th june), we had requested for activation for ESPN topup (which has ESPN, Star cricket and star sports). It's been more than 2 months since then, and they still haven't activated it, despite calling them 5 times a week and sending tones of emails. In companies like dish tv or tata sky they take only 15 minutes to activate such a thing, whre as here for airtel guys even 2.5 months are not enough! Such an incompetent technical team they have! We had been so frustrated with the service that we asked for cancellation. Later they called us and assured about the requested service within a few days, and asked us to retain the connection by e-mail. So we retained it, sent an email for the same, and they even gave confirmation email saying it's been retained!
Guess what, in a week's time, they locked our IPTV, and it took 5 days to activate it again. Immediately after that, they terminate our internet, and it's been more than 12 days, its not working. It's a huge inconvenience to loose internet connection, without a warning for so many days, specially when one does significant amount of work on internet from home! We have been calling them almost 2-3 times a day. A number of emails have been sent. My husband has even been to their customer care center 5 times in last week! We were told it will work by 2nd september, but as its always the case with airtel services, they dont deliver what they say! Remember, our earlier problem of topup activation is also not resolved so far!
Moreover, we are also told that we will have to pay the full bill! It's their technical mistake that we are not getting internet connection for half the month, and we gotta pay for their mistake!
I want some advise as to how to fight this company leagally now.. I do not wish to disconnect their services, I would rather want to make them provide me desired services. I figure we are not the only ones, when my husband went to the customer care center, there were number of people with such issues like us. Even a friend of us is facing some similar problem with IPTV and he's planning to disconnect it.
