AS 4 AC bus
Unauthorised fare

Sir,

I'm regular comuter of your AC bus (AS-4) from Kirti College to Worli Naka and pay Rs 15/ daily each side in the mornings and evenings (to and fro). Today morning I travelled to Worli Naka by your Bus no MH 01 6794 LA at about 0840, however the conductor, name not displayed on person, No 39150 of Licencing Authority Jalgaon, charged Rs 20/ for same. On being asked, he responded by saying that this is the actual charge. Through this letter, I would like to ask :

If the charge from Worli Naka to Kirti college is Rs 20/, then why all other are charging only 15/ and not faithful to their institution. Charging less is a loss to BEST.

If the charges had gone up from October 14 to 15 by almost 32%, why the same was not intimated to general public through print media

Whether, a conductor (being owner of the bus) has a right to charge indiscrimately at his own sweet wish, whim and fancies? if yes, I salute the institution, and if not, what steps do your esteemed institution takes against them. I have never seen any checker (very democratic and socialistic pattern) in the bus or any complaint box (I have never tried to search one as my journey is of 10-15 minutes only).
