Ash Alum
Poor work quality, no response to calls, and shocking attitude

I recently gave a repair work to a company called Ash Alum, based out of Garvebhavi Palya, Bangalore. The work was a sliding balcony door which was slighly jammed up, requiring some effort to open and close it. These people (after a few initially delays) finally performed the work in late January, and took money for replacing the entire steel frame and rollers.

Within three days the door jammed up completely, now it requires a tremendous effort to move it. I started calling them around 5th of Feb. Since then, every week without fail, atleast a few times each they would promise to come over, then not pick up the phone and finally say that 'they are stuck in another work some place else, usually Marathahalli, or Attibele). At one time I could even hear him laughing to his colleagues when I protested and asked why he had promised to come over if he had other work.

Anyway now the situation is that I have to open the balcony door in the morning, since my wife and her mother cannot do it, and we have to leave it like that till the end of the day. This person's behaviour is extremely unprofessional, very rude and insulting. I hope no one else has an experience like that.
