ISSUE OF NEW REFUND ORDER

I got incometax refund order of Rs.3890 for assesment year 2008 but as I was unaware of its validity period (Three months) I was not able to get it refund. I had written an request application to assessig officer of concerned ward along with enclosure of original for issuing me a new refund order inplace, but till now I havent got any. Please suggest what should I do.
