Sub: PF Withdrawals/k shantaram/ahmedabad

while working with ATIC Ind (at Atul) during 1992-93 my company had deposited PF with the Surat PF Office for about 18 months.

I had applied for withdrawal way back in 1995; the amount was deposited in my bank account at ahmedabad, but since name was mentioned on the cheque as R Shantaram the banker returned the cheque as was intimated to us on my making an voluntary enquiry; the pf authorities did not intimate me of the cheque sent to the bank. i wrote to surat pf office several times but not even an acknowledgement.

way back in mid i approached the PF commissioner at ahmedabad and recorded my complaint, - was told the records have been shifted to the new vapi office; wrote to the vapi office which regreted saying the old settled records are with the surat office only; the PF commissioner ahmedabad too wrote to them to look into the matter but no any sort of response or results except sharing a copy of the interdepartmental correspondence which are with me now.

i thus gave up without any hope, and the PF offices too ar thus keeping quiet since 1995 and subsequently since 2005 when i again made further attempt to trace my due amount, without any result.

recently i read in the times of india that similarly a person chose to unwear his shirt before the pf authorities to get his amount after having done lot of chasing - he was only then given the cheque by the pf office to avoid further public embarassment;

it seems only God can help in such matters, no any response inspite of repeated letters, no result, no hope - gandhiji is no more to perform dandi march! or PF INDIA MARCH!!

hope some solution will evolve and my full money with interest todate will flow from the honourable govt of india with this letter now - may be MY more than rs 60, 000 due to the common man/aam admi of the country which the govt intends to protect through such social legislation without an assured reliable delivery system.

taxes are collected at source, but for the monies due one has to undergo hassles for years with no one to look into; why did the banker allow the cheque to return without conducting a simple correlation with the existing names of customers and making a simple enquiry, why do the pf authorities keep quite for several years together even after registering a formal complaint;

is the PF Commissioner's job at the regional office at ahmedabad over by simply writing to the vapi/surat offices without tracking whether the due amount has been speedily paid to the common man - i have waited since 1995, how many years more now?

hope some magic will take place and can get it in some days ahead now using special powers of the government without asking me to write some formal letters again, marking copies here and there to buy time - the information records should speak that k shantaram's amount has not been paid back yet, and with interest this is the amount due so far, to be cleared on priority basis considering the long wait and the hassles already undergone.
