Meter 20% higher than what it is supposed to be

I have been facing auto rickshaw's having really freaking high meters for quite some time now. It is just extremely stressful to keep arguing with these auto rickshaw fellows.

When I tell them let us settle this in the police station; they say "FINE" and after some time they just ask you to get off you are returned back the appropriate change.

But there should be an end to this.

Today morning 7th August 09 I travelled with a friend from Juhu to Santacruz (Arya Samaj) on linking road. The daily fare is Rs.50/- the meter showed Rs.62/- to be paid. Now that is a 20% high meter.

My friend got scared because of the heated argument I had but I really wanted to take the snob to the police station and get his meter right.

I need help and million others too; who face this problem on a daily basis. I need a voice to "Voice Out" this and get Bombay a better place to live in.

It is saddening to say that Bombay is also another place where people get cheated very easily.
