Dear Sir/Madam,

This is srinivas, residing at Navi Mumbai, This is to lodge a complaint and bring to your notice that the Auto-Rickshaws standing at Jeejabai boslemarg @ Eastern Express Highway Junction have Tampered meters through which they overcharge the commuters daily.

Auto-Rickshaw number MH-03 AA9576 in particular has been charging high fare through tampered meter..Though there are several auto-rickshaws standing in queue, depending on the place a person wishes to go, they direct the person to take a particular autorickshaw which may not be standing in the first place. The intention is to optimise the benefits of a tampered meter without giving suspision..

However, for a regular commuter from same point to point, the difference would be clearly evident especially when there are no traffic jams.

Example: The fare for travelling from Jeejabai boslemarg @ Eastern Express Highway Junction to Gandhinagar Flyover junction on JVLR road is Rs.55 to 60/-(max.) where as the meter of Auto-rickshaw (MH-03 AA9576) on 04th May showed reading amounting to Rs. 81/-, There was no traffic jam and EE Highway traffic was as normal as experienced daily.,
