Overcharging and threatning

I got the autorickshaw from Vallabhnagar in Pune to go to Wakdewadi where it generally takes Rs 10 in bus/shuttle.

The rickshaw driver told "Dus" when I asked. Suddenly Midway he started asking people more than Rs 20. Nobody agreed to get into his vehicle. When I asked the reason for askging such amount he said he will take Rs 40 from me as he said "Chalis" not "Dus". I denied to pay such high amount. He said " dikhata hoon" and suddenly took U-turn and caught some other road. I said him ok I will pay whatever he is asking then he turned the auto again towards Wakdewadi.

However I didn't feel safe and asked him to stop so that I can get down. The driver didn't listena and started driving on a very high speed. I waited till a signal comes and when the auto stopped I just got down, paid him Rs 40, noted his vehicle number and caught some other auto.

The auto driver was so aggressive (he seemed drunk, too) and his behaviour was very threatning that my family din't allow me to lodge a police complaint as he may try to take revenge in that case which would add some more tension.

But this was the limit and I hope some action will be taken against the person.

The auto rickshaw drivers' behaviour is becoming worse day-by-day. To catch them plain dressed police can check this specifically in Pimpri-Chinchwad area.
