Dear Sir,

Re: S/A 431010100002196, Levy of Charges for Minimum Balance

This has reference to my application filed in your Branch on 07.11.2008. However, I find that you have not reversed the Charges till date.

1) This is to again inform you that average quarterly balance during Sep exceeds the minimum specified as given below:

You have charged Rs 842.70 to my account on 29.09.08 for not maintaining minimum Balance. In this respect, I submit as under:

2) I had always maintained minimum balance in the account. I always maintained substantial balance which can be seen from the account.

3) I had made FDR of Rs 15000/- on 23.01.08 vide FDR No 431010400017046 from the above account, due to which the balance fell down below Rs 10000/- for the first time since opening of the account.

4) I am a Senior Citizen aged 72 Yrs and am not aware of your changing rules.

5) My family members also have other accounts with your Branch eg 431010100005777

I had opened the above accounts on pursuation by the earlier Branch Manager at the time of opening of Branch. I have deposited Rs 25000/- on 9/9/08 immediately on coming to know the above requirement. After this Deposit, the average minimum balance for the Qrt ended 30.09.08 was not below 10000/-

The levy of such huge charges would be a great on hardship on Senior Citizen like me. Hence, you are requested to reverse the same, so that I can continue to have account with you. I would keep the minimum balance in future.
