Stop Payment on refund amount from Reliance Powe

My wife had applied for Relaince Power shares through its IPO and received refund amount of Rs. 18995.

We deposited this cheque in our bank (Axis Bank, Pune) butl axis bank received a stop payment from reliance power.

We have no idea why stop payment was issued. The validity for the cheque was 30th April and we received the cheque back from Axis bank on 30th evening. When we approached axis bank they mentioned that Reliance power issued them stop payment.

I would like to know from relaince power why are they not returning the money that belongs to us.
