User Development Fee Collection

Since 16th Feb Bangalore International Airport has started to charge a fee of Rs.260/- from every domestic traveller from the airport as User Development Fee (UDF). We were so happy with the old airport. It is the Government who has made this airport then why are they putting their burden on us. First of all it is so inconvient for us to go there due to the distance and the time taken to reach there is enormous. We have to pay a minimum of Rs 500/- for the taxi to reach there and then we are forced to pay this UDF. On top of it the facilities provided in the new airport. Here again we need to stand in long queues and come about 2 hours early before the departure of the flight. It is absolutely ridiculous to charge this amount from the fliers. If the Government doesnt have money let them close this airport and start the Old airport. But charging this 260/- is simply not excepted.
