BESCOM bill payment issue

Miscellaneous

I stay in Bangalore and paid my electricity bill through bangaloreone.gov.in. The money was deducted from my credit card and I was issued immediate receipt for payment towards electricity bill. However, till date bangaloreone has not credited the money to BESCOM and my electricity connection is disconnected. It has been almost 2 weeks since the payment was made and bangaloreone is delaying the payment citing server issues. Its impossible to believe that any server issue can continue for two weeks. Now bangaloreone is telling me to go and visit BESCOM data centers and get it corrected there. Having taken the service fee for payment, its their responsibility to make sure that bill payment is made on time. However, they are washing their hands off their responsibility in gross violation of consumer rights.
