My son went to Kalyan Main branch of Bank of Maharashtra 2 months back for collecting the Form for BoM's Mahasaraswati RD Scheme. In spite of telling repeatedly that we have no account with you, the form provider didn't give any KYC Form along with the application form. I presumed that there may be mistake on part of the person. I said its OK. When my son went to PARNAKA Branch for opening an account, he gave me all those forms. When he went for submitting those forms, the person in charge didn't tell him about the annexures completely. My son himself took the copies of documents. After verification of form he asked about the original documents for verification. This was the second time when he went to branch. Then my son went again home & provided the original documents for verification.By this time, the person knew about the matter very well. Then he told that there is one more annexure for this form that is the bonafide certificate issued by the head of the institution in favor of the person in whose name the account is going to be opened. This was the third time when my son went to the branch in an hour & still the account was not opened. He wasn't even prepared to peep into the matter. The said person also told me that a savings account is also required to be opened for the RD Account purpose. Was the person not able to tell all the required documents in one instance? This happened on 19/01.
There is also one more complaint about the same branch but on different date i.e. on 29/01. The person in-charge about whom I have discussed earlier told me that you will get an ATM cum debit card free along with the SB Account. Thus while making an application for SB Account I presumed that all the auxillary services i.e. ATM cum debit Card, Internet Banking, SMS Banking, Mobile Banking will be allowed to me as I have opened the account. Also the details regarding the said services were asked in the SB Account opening Form itself. But when I asked about the debit card on 29/01, the counter in charge behaved badly with him & told that the application form for the said services is different & you are required to apply for them in the different form. The previous person did not tell me that there is a different procedure for applying for the said services. I have also handed over the letter to directly debit SB Account for the sums to be deposited in the Mahasaraswati RD Account & that lady agreed that there is no need to fill up another form for the said service & there is no other procedure to be adopted. But when I personally went to collect the pass book on 03/02, the person told me that you are required to fill up another form for the direct debit service. HOW THE LADY SAY TO MY SON THAT YOU ARE NOT ALLOWED TO SPEAK INTO THE MATTER AS YOU ARE NOT AN ACCOUNTHOLDER???
