Thanks for giving the opportunity to mail atleast, as non of your customer care or your
credit card department guys are capable of clearing the queries. They only take the pleasure of
irritating people like me. Let me tell my irritating thing which I am facing with you guys.
I have received a call from barclay in the month of October'09 regarding some offers &
gifts they are giving without any extra charge, for which I said 'Yes'. Later in the month of
November'08 I've received the bill to pay about Rs.6741.60 (against Barclay's membership).
I have called up 022-67242222/080-41739811 and requested for cancellation and I was asked to call
again after 4-5 days. Within these days I have received an SMS to pay the outstanding amount of
Rs.340. I did not understand why I am asked to pay Rs.340 when I haven't used my card yet. I have
forgot to call on 4-5 days and understood that they have cancelled the earlier Rs.6741.60.
On the 6th day I have received a call that my amount of Rs.6741.60 is cancelled.
Immediately after that call again I am called up from barclay asking to pay outstanding amount of
Rs.340. I asked them for what I have to pay Rs.340, they told me that I have not paid the amount
Rs.6741.60 on time and requested them that Rs.340 should be cancelled as Rs.6741.60 itself was
cancelled.
Now, after 2 days when I called the no's. 022-67242222/080-41739811/080-60004444 to know the status
each of them tries to clear or cut the call from them by saying to call Bangalore no./ Bombay no./
Customer Care no. I'm fed up by doing 10 calls serially. I have come to know from these people
that the amount I have to pay is Rs.7081.60 (Rs.6741.60 Rs.340). They say that the amount 6741.60 cannot be
cancelled and none of them have got authorization to cancel it. It was a shock to me.
They haven't send the gifts and in return they ask us to pay Rs. 7081.60. This is rediculous.
I clearly say that I have not accepted for any membership fee in the call and I am not going to pay
the amount too.
Now, I feel of cancelling my account and doesn't want to keep any sort of relationship with Barclay further.
Once the issue is cleared I want to break the Barclay's credit card and through it away for ever.
I want someone to take the issue seriously and clear it as soon as possible. This is a torture to me.
I haven't taken any loan from you to pay the amount. I believe you understand me.
