Hi,
I'm Clifton Domingo working for Gemoney Designated as Senior executive. I have been a barclay card holder for the last 6 months. have used the card extensively and had full intention of making the payments. Had requested the customer service to change my billing address to my office as there would be no one to receive it from my residence. but still the same was not done and I did not receive my statements for a couple of months. Finally I received a call from the collection department stating that I wud have to make an immediate payment on my card, had told him to first send me the statement and i would definitely make the Payment . but then there was no response.
After a few days I received a call from barclay cards. the caller said his name was Gagan Deep (9999100834) and he is supposed to be a Senior Manager in barclay's. He was not at all willing to listen to my problem but just threaten to escalate the Issue to my Seniors, (Mentioning Names of my seniors such as the CEO, AVP, and HR head) so I told him to go ahead and do so.
I have made a payment of 23, 000/- on my barclay card on the day or a day before we had this conversation.
but still the escalation had happened and after a few days I received a call from my Senior Manager stating that he had received a mail from barclay cards which was sent to the CEO, the VP, AVP HR head.
well I called up Gagan Deep to tell him that since the payment was already made to please send a mail to the same people stating that barclay card had received the payment. But he just refused to do so.
Well I have been in collections myself for 5 years and am aware of RBI guidelines that you are not supposed to disclose customers Account information to any third party.
It is embarrasing and sad to know that a bank of such statue could behave in this manner and hire such employees for such high rank.
