Hi,
There was a scheme of activating the ECS feature on the card by providing the required details. As mentioned on the site, I had downloaded all the required forms, attached the required documents and as mentioned I have also submitted in the P.O box in fort. I have done this in the first week of June. Now the scheme is upto 31 july. So, ideally i should be eligible to get the benefit. The only clause was first payment should be done by 31 july. The process would take 15 working days max. Now, after calculating everything, my due date falls in last week of July and hence logically it should be done via ECS. I had even contacted customer care every weekly or fortnightly to check the progress on it. But they had always said that they havent got the form and gives me complaint number. On the last day of July they are saying that they can send a person for ECS but the condition would not be satisfied and hence they would not be able to credit those 750 points to my account. I am asking,
1) whose mistake is it if it gets misplaced from the P.O. Box.?
2) They should have mentioned bank address where we can get the acknowledgement instead?
3) They should have told me in the first conversation on 12 June itself that the form is not received and we can send the executive to re-apply for the same?
4) what is the point in asking on the last day of the scheme where the process witself would take 15 days...
I simply say that Barclay Credit Card is not an ethically sound company and should sincerely look forward for Corporate Governance. I would really like to have my points in my account.
