Trap in barclays priorty membership

Dear Sir,

This is to inform you that I am also facing a similar problem like Mr. Sanjay Shukla (Posted: 09-26). After receiving the credit card from Barclays Bank I have never used and got a Call from priority circle about some offer (Stroley Bag Hotel Voucher etc.) which I didn't accepted. Suddenly I have received an SMS from Barclays bank that your total due amount is Rs. 6741/-. After calling Customer care I have came to know this charges for barclays priorty membership and for further details you need to call barclays priorty circle at tel. no. 080-41739811. I called at that no. and been informed that we will check and will revert back to you. Nobody turned up. Then on 4th Decemer again I called at that no. and been informed that this priority circle offer can't be cancelled and you have to pay the amount Rs. 6741/- else we will charge interest rates. Then I informed them that I am not going to pay any single paisa for this and you are requested to cancel my credit card service immediately and the same I emailed to the customer care of Barclays Bank. But till now I have not yet received any response from them.

I am also using other bank credit card and there is no problem at all like Barclays are creating to the customers. It seems forcefully they are collecting money from the customers.

My humble request to you that please take some action on this so that customers should not harassed any more by this Bank.
