Unnecessary charging overlimit charges

Hi,

I want to surrender my Barclays Card (4339 4800 2519 4174) as i am not happy with the services i am getting.

Initially, when the card was issued to me my credit limit was 58, 000 INR and later it got reduced to 35, 000 without any notification and again it got reduced to 29, 000 and that is also without any notification.

When i used my card for the whole amount i.e. 29, 000 (as i was not aware of the limit), and there after Barclays is charging me the over limit charges for the last four months which is not logical as far as i think. I have requested them to provide me the settlement amount which they have denied to provide.

I have requested them couple of times and marked them an email couple of times but they are saying that i have to pay the whole amount as bank is not providing the settlement amount so that i can pay that amount and close this card.

Please help!!!
