Complaint Reg Pre -Approved General Insurance on Barclaycard

Dear Sir/Madam,
I would like to bring to your notice the worst experience i had been since I had apllied for Barclays Credit Card.
Now, its around 1 month that i have received my Credit Card and to my surprise I was debited with Rs.3200/- in my first bill which i had received and the amount for which i was charged was for General Insurance. So Immediately I called up on the Barclays Mumbai Helpline No (660004444) and inform them about the same. Where I was informed that i need to call up ICICI Bank and inform them about the same. So i called up ICICI Bank on (18002098888). So i was given a Interaction No : 120308795.
On Tuesday i.e. 25/03/08 when i again called up at Barclays office I was told to make payment of Rs.815/- which was outstanding against my a/c. and was also told to call up at ICICI to know the status of my complaint as they have reverse Rs.2400/- against Rs.3200/- which they have debited earlier.
So again I had yo call ICICI call centre where I was informed that only Rs.2400/-will be reversed as the services charge which is 2.5 % cant be waived off.
But I fail to understand that I have not given any request for any Policy and I had specificly informed the Executive that I dont need any add on Card or any offer along with the card.
This is very disappointing that a Global Bank like Barclays works in such unprofessinal way and treat its customer in such a manner.
I have been harrasses by all this things and asked the Barclays people to cancel my card.
I hope you seriously consider this letter as a Complaint and take neccessary steps.
