I had applied for a credit card from Barclays. They had processed my application and i got my credit card on the 6th may.
recently i went to a shop to purchase three TV for my fathers new house. Wile paying the BIll i found that my card was BARRED.
I thought it was not activated so I called the customer care. the Customer care officer told me that my application was cancelled but accidentally they passed my application. The most pathetic thing that I was told I would receive a letter regarding my cancellation.
I am not bothered why my application was cancelled. BUT I am furious on the fact that my credit card was BARRED without acknowledging me of the same.
their customer care officers call me to take a loan BUT they will never call to intimate on the fact that card was BARRED. I know for a fact that Barclays is not aware of the full usage of Customer care. their ignorance had caused me to rush to the nearest ATM to withdraw the money.
If I had known that my card was BARRED, I would have thrown away the card into the dustbin and got some cash from the ATM.
I will not recommend Barclays to anyone.
