Rash driving

The route no 489 (from Shivaji Nagar to Dahisar) did not stop at the designated stop at Indian Oil Nagar today morning (31-Mar at 8:40 am). I was crossing the road towards the bus stop and waved my hand right in front of the driver. On waving my hand, he momentarily stopped but before I could board the bus, it started to move. I was dragged for a good 15-20 feet with me half-hanging on the foot board. I was very lucky to escape with only a couple of cuts and bruises. Imagine the scene if it would have been some senior citizen or a school kid, the public could have taken matters into their own hands.

On checking with the driver, he said that it was not his fault if I was not at the stop. Agreed, but he could have at least stopped earlier (which he ultimately did) when he saw in the side view mirror that someone was trying to board the bus. And to top it all, he was quite rude inspite of what had happened. It is the attitude of some of the drivers/conductors like these that cause your image to get tarnished.

If you plan to take any action, I can give you the other details, otherwise I guess this would just be another complaint which goes by the way side.
