NAME CAN'T BE CHANGED??

On 25.09.09 my wife MANISHA M PATEL in Borivali (West) Station road, has visited the borivali BMC office and applied for a birth certificate of my son whose date of birth is 28.7.09. In which my wife has applied for the name TAKSH by mistake in a hurry. Accordingly your officers has issued a BIRTH CERTIFICATE.

The name TAKSH is not acceptable in my family so we want to change it to TAKSHEEL for that my wife visited to your borivali BMC office on 29.09.09 to change the name on birth certificate but your officer Mr. TAMBE and MISS ROHINI has rejected the application without giving any reasons.

So i personally visited him on 01.10.09 to request him to do the needful but without giving reasons he just said it is only possible to change the name if the mistake is done by the BMC officials and it is not possible to change the name on birth certificate if the mistake is done by us. So i request you to please let me know the procedure to change the name of my son on birth certificate.

We hope you will understand our problem and help us out at earliest.
