Bus conductor - misbehaviour & raising his hand

I boarded the 300E, Bus Number KA-01-F-3501 at Tin Factory today, 23rd February @ 3.20 pm. As soon as i boarded the bus i received a call on my cell phone from a client. The conductor (a man in his mid twenties) came to me and asked for the fare and i indicated to him to give me a minute. He then began to shake my shoulder, i ignored him and he went to the next row and attended to the passenger there. Turned around and again insisted that i purchase my ticket right away. Since i was on a call, i was unable to attend to him and he again shook my shoulder. All this happened even before we reached the Kasturi Nagar bus stop. He wasnt prepared to wait at all and was just trying to misbehave with me as i was a lady. I pushed his hand away and he then raised his hand as if to slap me and insisted i get off the bus. The bus driver had to interve and ask him to be silent as he noticed me take down the bus number. I would like to know if this is the way a lady is to be treated when it was obvious that i was in no way trying to avoid purchasing a ticket but had a genuine reason to ask him to wait for a few seconds.
