Hit and run by BMTC bus

Hi,

I would like to report a Hit and Run case against a Bangalore BMTC bus driver. On Friday, 27 Nov I was driving on Sheshadri Road at around 9 am when a BMTC bus hit my car from behind and broke my right-side lights and damaged my rear bumper. The bus route number was 211-H and bus registration number was KA-01-FA-327.

The driver refused to admit his fault and also refused to provide his name or show his driving license. He forced me to go back into my car and said go complain if you want, I will not provide my name / driving license details.

When I called up the BMTC office to register a complaint, they were not even interested in talking to me.

Due to this accident, I have incurred car repair expenses of approx. Rs. 4, 000. How do I get compensated for this loss? Is this the kind of behaviour that the BMTC provides to the citizens of Bangalore?
