Bombay Electrics Suburban Transport
Deficiency in Service of Bus Route No. 241

Boarded BEST Bus No. 241 (Reg No MH-01/ LA 5684) from Cooper Hospital-JVPD Scheme, at about 11.10am on 15th April my destination being Shastri Nagar-Goregaon.

Being a senior citizen, got in from the front gate:

(1) the conductor did not bother to issue me a ticket till I got up and approached him myself at the back of the bus, when the bus reached Goragaon Depot;

(2) the bus had just about 30 - 40% occupancy all through my journey;

(3) the bus driver would deliberately halt the bus way ahead of the bus stops enroute thereby not allowing passengers waiting for the bus there to board the bus;

(4) the bus conductor was merrily ringing away the bell "go ahead - double strike" much before the bus stops were reached, and even when there were passengers waiting in the aisle near the driver to get off.

The printed details on my ticket are: BEST - Malwani Depot, Malwani, Serial No. 2811004364, 194486, 15/04, 11:41:52, 241, ordinary, Dr. Cooper Horspital to Shastri Nagar, Goregaon, Full 1x, 7.85 0.15 = Rs. 8.00, Rs. 8.00
