Abscounding Caretake

Hi,

I stays in Magarpatta city as a Paying Guest. Its a 3 BHK flat and currently 6 girls are staying there. I pays 3500 per month as rent in which electricity bill and other society charges are included. Am staying here since 0ctober 2008 and had also given 2 months deposit i.e. 7000 to the caretaker/broker, Mr. Vijayan. we have the agreement letter as well. But the careteake has not paid the electricity bill for more than a year due to which electricity board members has taken away the meter of the flat and there is no electricity from last 10 days. The caretaker is not reachable neither he is coming to the flat nor picking up the phone. Today he picked the phone and asked us to pay the bill if we want electricity. Through some sources we came to know that he has also not paid the rent to the owner because of which the owner is in the mood to take the pocession of the flat. We are in a fix what to do next. As. even if we pay the electricity bill than there is no surity that we will be allowed to stay there. We want our deposit back but the person is denying to return the money.

Please help so that atleast we can get our money back from him and can shift to some other place.
