Unresponsive response from office

Hello... my broadband connection had come 1 week before... now am facing problems... from 1 or 2 days my broadband is not being connected error number 678 comes remote computer does not respond which usually comes when the isp server does nt respond... i complained there in the office by personaly visiting them... then they said that there must be some problem in my computer but i refused because am a computer engineer myself and i know the configuration also of the modem... i mean the setting..so i configured it even though i formatted my pc... but still teh same problem... i said that to them but again they say that there is nothing they can do, their job is only to give connection... how can some 1 give such a reply when i have taken broadband connection from them... then today i saw that the wifi light was also gone and not working and to make sure i bought my laptop and tried connection to both dsl and wifi still both not working... and again i complained that to the local office..but still their reply they cant do any thing about that...
further they are askig me what is that they have to do... its not their job to repair and maintain that...
how can costumers expect such a reply from the provider itself... i request you to further look into the matter... please help me to solve the problem because i dont think i can do any thing now as those authorities are just reluctant to do any thing about it
