I was going through Ms. Chawla's complaint. Though I know it is too late to record my complaint but my experience will probably caution others. I had a similar (language is more or less same) offer in July. One Mr. Green Fred claimed to be the Head HR of Cairn Uk was communicating and all documents looked very very authentic even the hollogram of the company. I paid for certain legal documents like visa work permit etc which was suppose to be reimbursed on my arrival to UK. Later they kept on asking for payment and I wrote to the Chairman's office of Cairn Energy. Their PR dept gave me a very stereo type reply saying that - yes some people are going around with false job offer claiming to be original from Cairn. My subsequent communication to Cairn went unanswered.

I would request all Indians getting such offers from overseas to be doubly cautious and get the authenticity of the documents checked by their High commission in India.
