Not getting my fixed deposite on need

Hi sir my name is praveen kumar, before one year i have fixed deposite my fund of fourty three thousand rupees in canara bank's rohini sector-16 branch so i could get my fund on need, but now i want to get my deposite repay as i have urgent need of money (i have to submmit my university fees before due date) but the bank staff is telling me that they could't process due to M.T.N.L strike.
