House hold Damaged & good missing

Hi,

My Name is Ranjit gaikwad and I am a resident of Pune.

I was previously working in Delhi and have shifted along with my family form Delhi to Pune.

While Shifting I had engaged the packing and moving service provider company named Caravan packers and Movers to shift my complete household from Delhi to Pune.

The packing was done and good were loaded into a container in the evening. Later in late evening I left for Pune in my Car. It took me 3 nights and 2 days to reach Pune. However, before I could reach Pune, I received a call from the packer and Movers that the Goods have already recahed to Pune and I should take the delivery.

I only reached till Mumbai in my private transport while my household already reached Pune.

I was happy to know this. However the happiness shortly turned into misery when I took the deliver of my house hold. The first thing which I observed was the good was loaded on an open Tempo truck [while in delhi it was packed in a big container. Most of the boxes were in bad shape.

Most of the things were damaged. My new computer table was broken into Pieces. TV was not functiing. AC not working, Almira, center table etc. almost all my household articles were damaged.

To add to this, couple of the boxes which contained the stuff from almira [costly clothes, paintings, artificaial jwelery] etc. was wide open. We lost most of the good stuff which was there inside those boxes.

I thought of complaining this to Police, however the Caravan people told me that they would get this sorted out through the insurance company.

This happened happened in early March and we have crossed mid July.

If any of the concerned people form Caravan come across this complaint, I would like them to get this resolved ASAP.

I just came across this forum and I really felt I should post my complaint on this website. I am sure this would help.
