Rude Staff

I use a service where I send money to my parents to be collected at the Catholic Syrian Bank. My father went to collect the money yesterday. He used the Senior Citizens ID card for Identification, but the staff refused to accept it as a valid ID and rudely shooed him off asking to bring another ID which is Government issued. Is the Senior Citizens card not Government issued.?

I had a similar experience with the bank late last year when I had gone there to collect money. The staff did not accept my UK provisional license and instead insisted that I bring my full license. The provisional license had my photograph, name and address. It was only when I created a hue and cry and met the manager about it the situation was resolved. The staff then started retaliating by commenting in Malayalam. The staff has got to be the worst and most unprofessional in dealing with customers.
