SELECTION OF CLERICAL STAFF IN STATE BANK GROUPS (EXSERVICEMEN)

Chief General ManagerRECRUITMENT BOARDMUMBAI Sir, This is with regard to selection of Clerical staff in SBI group through exams conducted in Jan and Jul (Interview under Progress). Regarding selection of Ex Servicemen through the exam it was clearly mentioned in the advt that serving personnel discharged within a particular date only will be given the benefit of exsercemen regard to age, qualification. Due to this a large number of serving defence personnel like me who got discharge in the month of Aug 08 did not apply for the posts. However, a number of serving personnel applied who were proceeding on discharge even after sep 08 and oct 08 applied for the posts even got selected in some of the banks like SBT (One such candidate is joining in SBT in Pathanamthitta (Dist) Kerala in first week of Nov 08 (He is going on discharge in 31 Oct 08 only). And also a large number of candidates applied for the Clerical post in SBI and appeared for exam in Jul 08 have been called for interview, even though they are still serving in the defence force (In the advt it was clearly mentioned that Persons proceeding on discharge till 31 Jul 08 only could apply). Why such a anomaly took place in the recruitment process is not understood. You are requested please look into the matter and clarify since number of persons who denied the chance are about to go to the court if any such personnel got recruited in the bank. Also please do not reveal the identity of undersigned since it may create enemity from those got recruited in the frurulent manner.
