Police called me againg credit card pay ment

I am in markeing division since 15 yrs i had a icici credit care from 2000 to some bad situation i was not paid for my monthly due it is my mistake only..but after 3 moths i plan to close my full balance and surrender my credit card to icici bank, i had discussion with them and such a amount finaliased and i paid it they give settlement letter and recept of the payment what i paid on that time.

after this just 2 months in 2008 (after 5 years) one of the execuaitve called me from icici bank, he says i have still out standing on my credit card, i told him it is settlled..(un fortunatly i miss placed my settlement letter i shifted my house that time may be misplaced)

he ask me that letter,

my que.is am i keeping that letter how long?

in this sitautiaon am i want to pay what ever he ask?

any other solution for me?
