HT cable tower posted on private land

Sir,

I have purchased a DTP approved land at Balnallur Village, Sriperumbudur, Kancheepuram District, Tamil Nadu in 1986. When I went to see my land last month, I saw a very huge iron pillar concreted on my ground for bringing High Tension / High voltage cable. Hence, It is not possible to construct a house over there, or nobody is interested to buy such land. Can the Authorities give any compensation for that? Please help me in this regard.
