Sub: – Extreme Delay in Issuing Passport and Police inquiry; File Reference Number: A017625/09

I am an applicant with File Reference Number: A017625/09, at Regional Passport Office, Chennai, applied for passport67 days ago, on 16th April. No police enquiry has approached our house yet. Generally, passport should be delivered within 45 days only

I mailed the same thrice to pptgrievance@tn.nic.in but there is not any reply so far. I have also been trying to call to 044-28218844 but the number is always busy or nobody answers it. This makes the public lose faith in the governament services.

Today I personally went to the equiry counter at Chennai Regional Passport Office to give a request letter about the problem but they did not take the request letter or complaint letter that I took to submit. Above all, they did not give any proper response and said that I need to wait. I do not understand how many days. In fact, a passport should be delivered within 45 days only.
