Chennai Autorickshaws Illegal and autohrities Negligence

Hi,

Hiring an auto in Chennai is becoming worse day by day. The fare rules are not being followed by auto drivers, the maximum capacity for the auto is not followed in Share Autos. Inspite of many accidents in Share autos still drivers try to accomodate more than 9 to 10 prople in the auto. The meters are not set for a hire. Moreover public are being cheated and fooled which gives a very bad feeling.

Autos entering Siruseri Sipcot IT park are not authorised and they collect 20 each from all the people on sharing basis which comes up to 100 rupess per trip. The auto drivers do not move the vehicle untill the auto is full with 5 people where as the capacity of the auto is only 3.

The police officials and the transportation authorities are not bothered to look into this issue. It really doesnt takes much effort to put the process in place and help public but this has been going on for years. We can surely bring smiles in the face of public if the autohrities do react to this.
