CHIRANTANI GAS AGENCY
ILLEGAL EARNING IN THE NAME OF INSPECTION

I am Kumarjit Mukherjee, residing at 125, block-B, Bangur Avenue, Kol-700055, my consumer number-BA/18089, Dated:29.12.1999 and our gas dealer name is - CHIRANTANI GAS AGENCY, 3 BANGUR AVENUE, BLOCK-700055, KOLKATA-700055.

My complain is that our dealer charges Rs.40.00 in the name of inspection of gas cylinder & connection but they actually don't do anything neither do they provide any money receipt against it, they only provide a check list without any signature of the receiver in it and they made it mandatory for each customer to pay the money by saying that the same has been lavied by the Indian Oil in the name of safety & precaution, until & unless we pay them they stop supplying the gas and force us to make the payment, moreover they also force us to buy the materials from their office instead of market, which is costlier than market.

I want to know that how much the system is authenticate and is it really lavied by the Indian Oil Corporation or not, if so then why not they give us the money receipt since without it I feel it is a kind of black money to them as well as to Indian Oil, which I strongly protest & shall take it to the consumer forum and if it is really provided by the Indial Oil then we must have to have written statement from them otherwiswe I demand a strong enquiry against the agency failing which I shall proceed the matter to the consumer court.

Now please tell me how much the whole system is true and if not then what action will Indian Oil will take against it, I shall wait for 48 hrs for the reply failing which I shall be bound to consult with consumer forum for it as I being a consumer I feel cheated by the whole system and I shall not have any problem if Indian Oil provide money receipt against it and not the local gas dealer.
