Name in defaulters list after full settlement of payment

Dear / Respected Sir,

i was having used vehicle loan (BMW 3 series) from ICICI bank some years back, but after some months I was not able to pay EMI on time so I surrendered the vehicle to the same. i have made all the settlements with ICICI bank and i am having all the ful & final settlement letters from them. there are no issues from my side. It was in 2006 last and in 2008 when i applied for a vehicle loan with HDFC for a maruthi Swift diesel vehicle i was said that i am in defaulters list in from ICICI bank for the same BMW and when enquired they have sold the BMW and around Rs 23500 is due from me, and i had told the collection manager of ICICI bank, M G Road, Ernakulam, Kerala district that i will pay the amount and clear off the dues they are not at all helping me clear out the issue and i am having another loan from the same ICICI branch for a taxi Innova and i am repaying it for the past 2 years. I need to know my present status in your criteria by those banks as they submited. or please tell me the way how can i be totally free from these kind of harrasments. as per todays position, i have applied for a loan of used car but ICICI & HDFC bank has refused to approve. I need to know the exact reason or other way, how can i be free from these situations? please guide me properly.
