Please refer to my email below which I have forwarded to CITI bank to assist me. You will get an outline picture about the entire thing. I need assistance.

This email is in reference to my above mentioned card number and also there are other card that are involved.

This is my credit card on which I had a personal loan of Rs. 2, 00, 000/- and approximately another 30, 000/- in debts.

I was making my monthly payments on a timely basis. very month as per standing instructions money was withdrawn from my account. All of a sudden today I realize after having a few bounce checks that my account has been frozen and all checks are returned as bounced. I speak to one the the customer service representative only to realize that my Suvidha account (A/C Number - 5391603113) has been debited with close to 1, 44, 000/- and 17, 200/- has been applied to my credit card account. How can such an ambiguous transaction take place without my knowledge.

I was making my payments on time, this is rather surprising and has got me to a shame in front of lot of people whom I had issues checks.

On speaking to your Customer Care Representative, I realize there is no manager in the office whom I can speak to, I cannot get a resolution fast, the only answer she had is send an email to the above marked email address. I firmly believe that something of this nature should have been notified procedures should have been explained. I will like to escalate the issue and need a quick resolution here. Citi group needs to realize they have put me in a tight spot here left no money in my account and also debited such a high amount without my knowledge.

The Customer Service representative I spoke to said that this happened because I closed my card (5189-3691-4940-9014) If this was the case you all should have notified me. At that time CITI group kept calling me entire day for an amount of around 2, 300/- which I realized later again is not the total amount to payoff my debt on the card. Worst come worst why did someone not inform me about something like that will happen if I close the card.

I was informed that this amount payments should get me rid of the debt that I have on my card.

I have been a good customer with Citi bank its just that I have fallen apart a little with over burden of debt on my shoulder because of a new house that I have purchased and the tax months that were there. I have always made my payments on time and always done banking with CITI bank.

I want someone to address my issue and get back to me via email or phone (9987093330) I work night shifts would prefer a call after 4 in the afternoon.

Please get back to me as soon as possible. Also, if possible please let me know how can I get in touch with RBI Credit Card complaint department. I would formally lodge a complaint as this is not acceptable.
