I am unable to record my voice because my headphon's mike is not calebarating in my system. I am

from varanasi, i had gone to compact service centre. They told that this is a software problem and i have to format my system. I actually wants to know to is it a hardware problem or software problem? please help me. I also need compact's toll free number for further correspondence. I had already a no.1800114772 but it is not working.
