Dear Sir,

I applied for BB compo plan 500C on Aug 18 and got an assurance by the person-in-charge there that the installation will be done in three days. On 24th Aug, I contacted 12678 and got the infn that it is ready and can expect that day. Having no response, I visited Kaimanam Exchange on 26th and got the msg that there is no vehicle to get modem from the main office. I telephoned on 29th to get the msg that they are coming on that day and are on the way. But, later they phoned and said that they postponed it for Monday the 31st. I told them if they have any difficulty, I can collect the modem from the exchange and they can do the activation while I set up the modem. On Monday morning, I phoned them again and got the msg that they can come at 1 pm only. Since I was postponing my trip to EKM for the past few days, I told them 1 pm is not convenient to me. Then they said that they come immediately. After some time they came and connected the modem, gave id & pw and confirmed that the system is activated so that I can get connected as and when I do the set up. I tried the set up to find that the system was not activated.

On 5th Sep, I phoned again to ask about the activation and if any more set up is required, I got the msg that the concerned person was not arrived on duty. It was at 10.15 am, they took my tel num with an assurance to call me back. I asked them what time he was expected, they said ‘its Onam can’t say any time’. Then I asked him ‘what do I do to get this connection? ’. He replied ‘its possible only when the other person comes.’

No response so far from the concerned.

Now, I need to have a clarification from you that ‘Do I have to wait have and have this connection to the convenience of an individual? If this is the situation to get the connection, what would be the response if a customer has some sort of problem later? ’

Is this BSNL service to a customer?

I don’t mind in cancelling my order if BSNL is not in a position to provide satisfactory services to their customers. Better to take a decision now than entering into a trouble.
