Salary - will be paid thru one bank only

I am working in a Public Sector Enterprise and my employer is now pressing me to open a salary account in a particular Bank. They are saying that otherwise the salary is not payable and it can not be paid through cheque for more than 3 months.

Can any body let me know is there any guidelines for debiting of Salary to Bank.
