Sub: Complaint against Mr. Ganesh Singaram, Branch Manager,

Bharti Airtel Limited, Nungambakkam – Reg:

We would like to bring to your attention that Madam Maryani Binti Abdul Majid, spouse of Mr. Anuar Kasman, Consul General of Malaysia has applied for a Airtel post paid connection in your Nungambakkam Branch.

Madam Maryani Binti Abdul Majid has received the sim card bearing hand phone No. 9600072405 and deposited the money of Rs.500/- to Airtel on 07.10.08.

However, the Branch Manager of Airtel in Nungambakkam, Mr. Ganesh Singaram, has denied to activate the connection after giving the sim card and yet asking for permanent proof of address in Malaysia. To fulfill Mr. Ganesh Singaram requirements the Consulate General of Malaysia has provided the copy of Malaysian Identification Card which bears the Permanent Proof of Address in Malaysia, however, Mr. Ganesh Singaram still denying the document it as a permanent proof of address in Malaysia.

In this regard, we would like to express our unhappiness the service from Airtel that rendered to Madam Maryani Binti Abdul Majid on the following basis:

1. Mdm. Maryani is spouse of Consul General of Malaysia in Chennai and holding Diplomatic Passport holder;

2. Mdm. Maryani has permanent address in Chennai and Malaysia as registered in the Airtel’s application form;

3. Mdm. Maryani has fulfill all the requirements needed including the permanent proof of address in Malaysia as required, but yet still denying by Mr. Ganesh Singaram; and

4. Mr. Ganesh Singaram should accept the document presented by the Consulate General, because, the Malaysian Identification Card is a valid document belong to the Government of Malaysia and it is NOT the ATM Card as claimed by the Branch Manager Mr. Ganesh Singaram.

We request your intervene in this matter and subsequently to activate the cell phone bearing no. 9600072405 to Madam Maryani Binti Abdul Majid.
