Money not received from ATM but Amount debited from account

Dear Sir,

My name is Dr Marita Adam, a resident of Alto Porvorim, Goa. I have an account with Bank of India Porvorim and have been their customer for many years. My account number is at Bank of India, Porvorim Branch is 100810100002641.

On the 28th of July I used a Corporation Bank ATM at Porvorim to withdraw a sum of Rs 15, 000/- rupees. This was practically the whole amount I had in my account. However I did not receive the money. I reinserted my card and found to my dismay that the amount had been debited from my account. I immediately drove to the Bank of India to report this matter. The bank authorities immediately filled in a Charge Back Claim Form on the same day and I was told the money would probably be returned to my account in a couple of weeks.

However I am told by the BOI that the reply from the corporation bank is that it was a successful transaction and the case is closed. The BOI tried to reopen the case with no success.

This is absolutely unacceptable to me. I cannot lose 15, 000 of hard earned money. I request that this case be taken up by you.
