Charging of Late Payment Fee

My Credit Card # 4477 4702 1740 5001. I had made a payment of Rs.500/- by Ch. No.383319 on 11.07.2008. I could not find the credit of this amount in the statement Jul 26. Instead of the credit, you have charged late fee Rs.400/-in the Sttmt. I received the Sttmt. Jul 26 on 30.07.2008 mentioning to pay Rs.1, 390/- immediately. When I have paid in July, how is that the late payment could be charged and ask me to pay July Sttmt.amount immediately? Pls.check the account and reverse the late payment fee of Rs.400/- in the next Sttmt. Thanks.
