Cut Flowers (Gladiolus)
Late Delivery

I booked a consignment of Cut Flowers from Kathgodam to Lucknow by Bagh Express on 18.06.08 (Ref: RR no. 914564, SR no. 97707). The consignment was supposed to be detrained at Lucknow. Instead, it headed towards Howrah. When I contacted the Lucknow office, I was told that the consignment would be now detrained at Gorakhpur and brought back to Lucknow. Even this did not happen. Instead, it was sent back to Kathgodam again, from where it was redirected to Lucknow where it finally reached on 21.06.08.

Cut Flowers are perishable item and due to the neglect and careless attitude of the railway staff, all the flowers became rotten when they finally reached the destination after more than 72 hrs. As a result I lost flowers worth approximately Rs .10000/=. I am a small enterpreneaur and this is a heavy loss for me caused entirely by the neglect of the Railway Deptt. I demand compensation from the Indian Railway for the damage.
