Cyber cafe keeping soft copy of ID proof

Hi,

Cyber cafes in Delhi are keeping soft copies of ID proof of customers. At times genuine but ignorant customers provide their PAN card or Passport as their ID proof. Such proofs, if in wrong hands, can lead to frauds through credit cards or fake identities. If Delhi police has asked cafe owners to keep ID proof soft copies then it is a matter of concern. If no such order is in place then cafe owners should be instructed not to harass customers to provide ID proofs for scanning. My PAN card soft copy too is with a cyber cafe in Rohini. When I asked shop owner either to show police orders or to delete my ID scan copy, he started querrelling. What should I do.
