Inconsistancy of network connections/ ADSL

When I switch on the modem gradually all indicators including ADSL glow steadily. Once when I connect to Broadband the ADSL goes off and it takes lot of time to get the connection showing fault remote computer is not responding (768). after great wait I get the connection to my home Page. But unfortunately once I enter the specified web site to go through e-Mails, the line goes off and gets disconnected from the mother Computer. This problem has come up since a month only. This is not the problem with my e-Mail connections alone. The same problem occurs when go to IRCTC for rail ticket booking or verify Trains at a Glance, other web sites like yahoo, in.com, msn.india etc. Kindly clarify and arrange to rectify the defect.
