Damaging goods in transportation and non-refund of money though goods (car) not transported

Dear Sir:

Booked the household goods vide consignment note no. 5317 dated 03.08.2008 from Meerut to Bangalore. Goods received at Bangalore but in totally damaged condition. I have claimed an amount of Rs. 10000/= as damages.

I have also booked my car vide consignment note no. 4558 dated 03.08.2008 from Meerut to Bangalore. The transporter had taken an advance of Rs. 9300/= and an amount of Rs. 8000/= to be paid at destination i.e. Bangalore. I have receipt for the same. However the transporter did not take the car for transportation and demanded more money. However the car was transported through another operator. The transporter has refused to pay the advance money of Rs. 9300/=.

Letters written to the transporter on 12.08.2008 and also on 01.09.2008 for both the matters but no reply has been received. I request you to get my money back.
