Doctor appointment
Inordinately delayed appointment

Dear Sir,
I had taken an appointment with Dr. Kalyan Bose in the OPD of Woodlands Hospital for 16th July at 1200 hrs. On Wednesday, the OPD timings of Dr. Kalyan Bose are 1100 – 1300 hrs. I reached the hospital at the appointed time and duly registered by paying OPD fees of Rs.400/- (receipt no. IO/08/-075986 dated 16/07/08). These facts can be verified from the Hospital notice board and their appointment register.
Dr. Kalyan Bose reached the hospital at 1352 hrs and finally I could consult him at 1400 hrs. only.
This has caused an avoidable delay of two hours of my precious time. As a result I missed an important meeting, which caused an appreciable financial loss to my company.
I wanted to file a complain in the complaint register but I was told that the hospital does not maintain a complaint register. As there was no alternative I filled up a feedback form.
I feel both Dr. Kalyan Bose and Woodland Hospital have acted in an irresponsible fashion and demand a written apology from both of them.
Thanking you,
Yours faithfully,
(Ashwani Kumar Sareen)
